1、 Project positioning and design

This project produces a 1:50 scale luxury yacht model with a total length of approximately 90 centimeters, focusing on showcasing streamlined hulls, superstructure details, and luxurious interiors. Adopting the production scheme of "fiberglass hull+fine components", pursuing a 90% restoration degree, highlighting the luxurious texture and nautical characteristics of the yacht.

2、 Material selection and shipbuilding

The hull is made of fiberglass material and manufactured through the process of mother mold flipping. First, use high-density foam to carve a precise boat shape, and make a silicone mold after the surface treatment is smooth. The glass fiber cloth is laid using hand lay up technology, soaked with epoxy resin, and then demolded after curing to obtain the ship's hull. The deck is laid with teak veneer, showcasing the authentic wood texture.

3、 Superstructure production

The cockpit and cabin are laser cut and spliced with ABS panels, and the windows are precisely embedded with acrylic panels. The guardrail is welded with stainless steel wire, and the spacing between each column is kept consistent. Radar, satellite antennas, and other equipment are produced through 3D printing, and their surfaces are treated with metal plating.

4、 Detail processing technology

Anchor chain system: using miniature metal anchor chains, anchor machine details are represented by etched pieces

Deck facilities: The lifeboats are made of fiberglass and the hangers are movable

Cabin details: The interior furniture is carved from oak wood, and the sofa seats are covered in genuine leather

Lighting system: Install micro LEDs to display porthole lighting through fiber optic guidance

5、 Painting process flow

Adopting advanced automotive paint spraying technology:

Bottom treatment: Spray epoxy primer as a whole, water grind until smooth

Main color spraying: Use metal paint layer by layer spraying, first spray silver primer, then cover with transparent color paint

Waterline treatment: use precision mask with color separation, spray special anti fouling paint

Detail coating: The ship name uses water stickers, and the gold-plated decorative strips use transfer printing technology

6、 Surface treatment and decoration

Polishing treatment: After spraying clear varnish on the hull, perform three polishing treatments

Metal decoration: The bow decoration, side window frames, etc. are made of electroplated metal parts

Wood effect: Deck teak wood slices sprayed with matte varnish, presenting a warm and moist texture

Glass effect: Spray light blue on the inside of the window to simulate anti glare coating

7、 Special effect processing

Below the waterline: Spray with a slight stain effect, showing seawater erosion

Deck area: dry sweep light gray showing signs of wear and tear

Metal components: localized rust, enhancing realism

Reflective effect: The surface of the ship is treated to create a mirror effect

8、 Quality requirements

Smooth hull shape without deformation

All details such as guardrails and gangways are securely installed

Painting without color difference or sagging

The interior details are clear and visible
